I agree that the half or even one year of college education isn't really that important, as those college players will only spend most of their times on practicing, playing and hanging out with their teammates (who are as clueless as the players) anyway. More importantly, the nba should require all players to attend and complete a few financial educations courses so they can better understand the importance of investing (e.g. saving their money early and intelligently etc.). These should be practical courses, not the economics courses that are taught in colleges. I can't over-emphasize the importance of such financial courses to all students before they enter the society. They are more important than the majority of courses they teach in secondary schools and colleges, IMO. ... |
